I forgot to mention that once Tori and Abbie saw their room, they played for a total of about 2 minutes, then headed towards their door of their room where I was standing in the hall with a proud smile on my face and Tori says to me, "So Mommy, where's our surprise?" Smile vanished, and suddenly the days and days of work seemed unimportant. Leave it to the 5 year old. Shoulda given her an empty box, huh?

Too funny, but definitely frustrating! I think kids believe that a surprise should be one thing they can either hold or eat. :) I know they will love their new room!
Love,
Jeni
That is slightly defeating, huh?
I am sure that they will feel really special and like real princesses in no time.
Wow, maybe Nonna was spoiling her TOO much. She never does that! hehehehe =)
I think I have experience in these matters. When we built the big house we thought the kids would love it. But, all we heard was how they missed the old house. It wasn't until their friends said how great the house was that they began to think so too...Just goes to prove that we don't need to have the "best" house, car, vacation, etc. Ice Cream is enough! mom
They actually did love the room. They really enjoyed the slide. :)
:)
I am sorry that they said that, but I am sure they love their room. I bet they were expecting something else. And your mom is right..sometimes it takes someone else to say something before they realize what they have. :) We love you!
