Journal Entries... 11/15/96

So I decided to share some fun Journal Entries from LONG AGO, 13 years to be exact. I thought this entry was great because I went to my journal, clicked "control F" for FIND and typed in "Brad", this was the first entry that it came to...

"Hi, it is the 15th of November of 96. Just going to fill you in on how I feel about Brad right now and how things are going so that some day when my teenage daughter asks me about what I was like with guys, I can whip this out and read it… anyway. I wish so badly that Brad would kiss me. I have never been kissed before and I wish he would kiss me. I haven’t seen him for a while actually and I am just waiting, looking out the window waiting for him. I get really bored being the only child now because Brian is on his mission, Andi is married, and Mike is at college"...

I'll stop there since you don't need to know the rest that I wrote that day :)

Okay, so here's another great one, two years later, 08/24/98:

Anyway… Brad Brockbank and I are better friends now. He still likes me I know because he practically tells me everyday, but he’s a great friend to have and doesn’t mind taking me out to ice cream once and a while :). He just gets a little annoying when he has too much sugar, let me tell you… man.

What a Beauty...

These were taken with the other family pictures. I actually took them myself :) I'm pretty proud of myself... maybe I should be more proud of my genetics than my photography skills but either way, she's a beauty. Brad went to her open house last night and came home with "Our Daughter is quite the popular girl at school." The reason he said that was almost everyone he saw came up to her and said, "Hi Victoria." He said almost everyone knows her, no matter the age or grade they are in, everyone knows who Victoria Brockbank is, for those of you who know her Daddy, that's something they have in common.

It was a windy day, Tori got hit in the head with a door and Abbie had the "chicken pops" but we still decided to try it, and I think we got some really cute ones! Can't wait to put them up on our wall!!!

Chicken Pops

Last week was Spring Break, the girls were pretty much stuck inside all week because I needed to put in some long hours at work, but they still had fun. On Thursday we went out to the close by field and ran the dog and the girls were chasing her, and just having fun. I stayed in the car because it was about 7:00, it was getting dark, the bugs were out, and I wasn't really in the mood to stand and watch the dog run when I could see it from the car :). So the next day, Abbie has these five dots on her face, like the shape of the five dots on a dice. Weird. Well, then the next day she's got a few more spots, no blisters, just looked like zits. No cold symptoms, no fever, no itching. So I decide after much contemplation that she's fine, must be bug bites. We were singing in the choir at church yesterday so we needed to be there (the choir was only like 10 people) so we bring her. Well, right before we sing Brad was holding her and looked at her feet and there were two huge chicken pox blisters. It was very obvious from our research on google that they were chicken pox. YIKES! So now our whole ward has been exposed to the Chicken Pox. She received one vaccination about 9 months ago, but didn't get her first vaccine she was supposed to get at age 1, so its VERY mild, in fact her spots on her chest are pretty much gone. But we get to quarantine her this week, so much fun. She calls them the Chicken Pops, and she chases Tori around trying to touch her, the poor thing :)
