You Know You're a Texan When...

So I'm going to start this thread as the reality of me being a Texan shows more and more every day. So stay tuned for more of these...

#1: You wear a sweatshirt outside because its only 80 degrees (Man its Cold!)

#2: You have 2 couples (husband/wife) over for dinner at a time (we did this on Sunday and realized that we have become "one of them")

#3: Your daughter can perfectly pronounce Hispanic names, but not English ones.

#4: You expect people to speak with a Texas accent, and when they don't you are kind of surprised they don't have an accent (This is the beginning step of having an accent I think).

You Know You're In Texas When...

#1: The local Denny's is called Dickey's BBQ Pit.

Where did I go wrong? Next thing you know you'll be listening to country music!
It's worth living there just for the barbeque, you have to admit.

That's funny! By the way, Mom, she IS listening to country music. We better schedule a trip quick and get her out of there! ;)

Bring on the big hair girl! Own your inner Texan! I fully expect to see you on the field as a Texas Cowboys Cheerleader!

Make sure that you say "Y'all" lots and lots! (with or without an accent. :))
