Primary Chorister-Please Help!

So i got called to be the Primary Chorister, and now I need advice. I need ideas. I can sing, I can lead, but I need ideas on how to keep the kids entertained. Singing time I think is the longest part of primary and I get to do a one man show! I think it'll be fun, but I need ideas. If you have any, please send them my way. Any websites are helpful, or any activities to help learn the songs. Thanks!

Dallas 101

Yesterday was wonderful and exhausting. We had a great day at church, I got called to be the primary chorister, and then we got home. I made some yummy food and decided to give half of it to a new member of our ward who just moved in, I think he's divorced, not sure, but he didn't really have much, so we brought that over. I saw the spot where the rape happened last week I think it was, he lived right next to it and it was a pretty rough neighborhood. I felt better cause where I live is much more open and not as scary. Anyway, so then we decided to walk the Katy Trail. For those who live in Utah, its like the Provo Trail kinda, its probably longer, and most of the time its much wider, it was two separate lanes, one for bikes, one for pedestrians. So we were doing really well with the kids and then I realized it was about 7:30, we had walked a long ways, and had just as long to walk back, so it was time to turn around. So I convinced Brad it was time BEFORE the kids freak out. And sure enough, about 5 minutes later, my sweet little Abbie turns into the freak-out little Abbie and she gets upset because I won't carry her. So she starts hitting the chain link fence with her hand as she's stomping. Brad tells her not to, that she'll get hurt, and low and behold, she gets hurt. She screams like her hand just got chopped off, and I have to carry her back the whole way. I guess she got what she wanted, huh? So then we went to the park for some reason, like the trail wasn't enough. But we had a good time there. There are tons of parks in Dallas, really nice ones. They are everywhere. People are REALLY health conscious here, everyone exercises, eats right, etc. Anyway, it was a great day with the family. I'm very blessed, and Sundays are quickly becoming my favorite day because Brad is home all day and we get to be together.

My Angel

So I just wanted to write and express my love for my husband. I've felt kinda melancholy today. Not sure why. Maybe hormones, maybe my messy house, not sure. Brad had to go to work today for a training the company was having and he came home for lunch. He took the time to just cuddle with me and hold me for about 30 minutes during his lunch and it just meant the world to me. Its just amazing what Brad does to my soul. He is truly my Angel on Earth. I'm so grateful for him. He's doing such a good job and making time for me and the kids even though he's working so hard and so long every day. He's such an amazing man, and I'm grateful he's mine :)

Wow Wednesdays!

Well, I wasn't sure what to post today, didn't have anything all that exciting, and then on my way home tonight I said, "Wow!" and I realized it was Wednesday still, and so I thought I'd share my Wow today. This picture is as close to what I see outside right now. It's definitely a Wow. I love storms here! Sorry I'm not selling you anything today, just wanted to share a Wow :)

Uptown not so great.

So there is a serial rapist in uptown, just one block from me there was an attack last night. I'm pretty annoyed, I thought this area was really safe. Guess not. To make matters worse, my garage was open all day long and I didn't even know. Man alive. Please pray for me :)

I'm not bald!

So Brad and I were about to pray this morning and I remembered something from yesterday. One of the ladies that work in the front office of our apartment complex told me that Abbie looked just like Brad and Tori looked just like me, so I told Brad that real quick before we prayed as Abbie was giving us kisses. I said, "Amanda told me yesterday that Tori looks like me and Abbie looks like you." Brad kinda smiled and shook his head and Abbie said confused, "I'm not bald!" I thought it was SO Blogworthy! Just a note, a lot of people say the opposite, that Tori looks just like Brad and Abbie looks like my family, but who knows.

More Uptown News

Well, I thought this song was perfect for my evening. So we ventured to our new grocery store today. We'd been previously going to Albertsons where everything is "on sale" after being marked up 300%, so we tried Kroger. What's funny is our friends from our ward recommended it to us last night but told us not to go to the "gay Kroger's". Well, I had forgotten that part :) So we went to the closest Kroger to our house and low and behold, it's the gay one. LOL. So I was wondering where all the gay people were in our "gay part of town" that we supposedly live, and apparently they are all shopping at Kroger! Holy cow! I saw this guy, no joke, that had on the almost the same flag pants (stars and stripes) that the guy has on Napoleon Dynamite (picture included). This guy's pants were a little more stars and stripes combined, but almost the same, I'm sure they bought them off the same rack. So I saw Rex Kwan Do at Kroger today, I had to keep a straight face, and it was really hard, but I'm pleased to say I think I did well. I'd say there were at least 10 gay couples, maybe more, I left early with the girls. Anyway, we went away with about 8 bags and only paying $40.00... much better than Albertsons where we had like 3 bags and spent $90.00. Not sure how that happened. Anyway, good times.
